    Description

On January 20, 1997, Albert Gore, Jr. took the oath of office as the Vice President of the United States for a second term.  Accordingly, the Postal Commemorative Society prepared a limited number of the 1997 Vice Presidential Inaugural Covers.  The two Covers feature historic stamps closely linked to the inauguration.  The Inaugural Cover honoring Vice President Gore features the 1938 John Adams stamp, and the Cover honoring Mrs. Gore features the 1950 U.C. Capitol stamp. Each Cover contains a special descriptive Display Page that provides interesting and important background information on Vice President Gore and Mary Elizabeth "Tipper" Gore, America's Second Lady. The Covers and Display Pages are presented in a handsome folder.  A perfect complement to you 1997 Presidential Inaugural Covers.
